That time God told creation to create us

If God spoke into the light.
commanded its existence,
and broke the silence of night,
Was darkness not there first?

And if the world came after He spoke it so,
what was before?
Was darkness not here first?

The world came from nothing,
And God transmuted it into something--
a creation. A home for
His creations of light.
And from creation, we were made.
From the dust, we were formed.
From the world that was once darkness,
we were formed by the Light
to exist in Light. To be Light.
So, if we were formed by something that was once nothing,
were we once nothing?

If God created light to fill the void of nothingness,
then He chose to ignite our being--
He chose to give Light to something.

And if this is the case,
and I presume it to be,
God waited to make us last
because creation once came from nothing.
He wanted us to come from something
so He lit the wick of the world,
created creation,
and commanded creation
to create
something.

There was no choice to be made from the dust of the Earth,
and no choice but to be transmuted from nothing.
And if this is true,
as I presume it to be,
we were God's choice.
We were His choice even though
He gave us the choice to cherish or destroy,
ourselves
or the world
that came from nothing.

In the vast something that came from nothing,
first, the world was a blank canvas.
And to be nothing,
requires no effort.
But to maintain something does.

Perhaps, in the depths there is a potential to transform,
But that is a choice to be made by God.
The world was made for us. We were made from it,
And we were the final product that God had in mind
From the very beginning
when He started from nothing.
